About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a large-scale hostel development project. This position is ideal for candidates with a hotel or hospitality construction background, given the technical requirements of the build.
The successful candidate will be highly hands‑on, with strong knowledge of construction drawings, project delivery, and site coordination. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of a high-profile project and see it through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day‑to‑day site operations and ensure works are progressing in line with programme.
Supervise subcontractors, direct staff, and trades to achieve project milestones.
Review and interpret construction drawings, ensuring works are carried out correctly.
Ensure quality standards are achieved, particularly on detailed finishes.
Oversee health & safety compliance on site.
Monitor project schedule and budget, reporting progress to senior management.
Troubleshoot technical issues and provide practical solutions on‑site.
Liaise with design teams, engineers, and project stakeholders.
Requirements
Minimum 5+ years' experience in a Site Manager role.
Previous experience in hotel, hostel, or similar commercial/residential builds highly desirable.
Proven ability to read, understand, and manage technical drawings.
Strong leadership skills with a hands‑on approach to site management.
Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety requirements.
Organised, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple trades effectively.
Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not essential).
