Health & Safety Lead (Milan)
Health & Safety Lead required to work for one of Europe's leading Tier 1 Main Contractors on a large Data Centre project in Milan, Italy.
The successful candidate will report to the Regional Health & Safety Manager and the Project Director.
Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with the company safety management system, EHS laws, and project execution plans.
Coordinate and manage task-specific Method Statements, Risk Assessments, permits, and safety interventions.
Maintain good safety practices through regular site audits, C.O.S.H.H assessments, and hazardous substance control.
Oversee staff induction, training, and ensure subcontractors adhere to EHS policies.
Manage project PPE, welfare, and hygiene facilities, ensuring they meet requirements.
Assist with accident investigations and keep the Safety File documentation up to date.
Participate in daily briefings and maintain waste reduction and recycling programs according to project policies.
Requirements
6+ years' experience in a similar role.
A relevant Health & Safety qualification.
Team player and able to build and maintain relationships both internal and external clients.
Flexible to change and open to constructive feedback.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
IT Skills – Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
