Deli Manager – Blanchardstown Business Park, Dublin 15
This position is posted by Blue Forge Recruitment for a leading Retail Convenience Forecourt Group. The role involves managing the deli and fresh‑food grab‑and‑go section of a compact convenience outlet.
The successful candidate will oversee day‑to‑day deli operations, staff management, stock control, food‑safety compliance, and customer service while contributing to the overall performance of the store.
Operate day‑to‑day deli functions, including readymade meals, hot and cold counters and salad bar.
Lead, manage and support a team of 7–10 staff, organising workloads for timely completion of tasks.
Maintain optimal stock levels using digital tools and sales data to optimise ordering and minimise waste.
Ensure compliance with food‑safety, hygiene protocols, HACCP records and overall quality standards.
Train, coach and develop staff, fostering a culture of excellence and productivity.
Qualifications
Proven supervisory or management experience in a fast‑paced, fresh‑food customer‑facing environment.
Expertise in fresh‑food stock control and accurate catering and deli ordering.
Strong attention to detail, commitment to customer service, hygiene and display presentation.
Exceptional organisational skills, time and priority management.
Leadership, motivation, delegation, and fostering a positive team culture.
Self‑starter who thrives independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of food‑safety procedures and HACCP compliance.
Contract: 43‑hour, including early shifts (5:30–6:00 am) and midday shifts. Salary: €38,000‑€42,000 plus €4,000 bonus, staff discount, VHI scheme, pension and other benefits.
