This is a hybrid role with offices in Dublin, Galway, Cork, Sligo, and Kilkenny.About The Transport Infrastructure Business: With more than half the world’s population now living in urban areas, smart, safe, and sustainable transport is crucial. Designing and delivering locally relevant transport systems requires careful consideration of many issues—from the impact on ecosystems to community needs. We provide technical and advisory services across the entire project lifecycle, having worked on major projects in Ireland, the UK, and internationally.About The Role: The Senior Project Engineer will work on the design and delivery of roads, rail, greenways, and active travel projects from inception through planning, design, and construction.Responsibilities:Prepare designs and reports appropriate to experience level at all project stages.Ensure compliance with quality and management procedures.Motivate oneself, take ownership, and seek team participation.Work collaboratively in a Level 2 BIM environment.Engage with clients and design teams for project delivery.Key Skills & Attributes:Experience in transport project design, including roads, rail, and active travel.Minimum 6 years’ experience across design and construction phases.Knowledge of Irish/UK standards (NTA, TII, DMRB).Proficiency in Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, and other relevant software.Strong communication and presentation skills.Qualifications:Level 8 honours degree in Civil Engineering or related field.Level 9 master’s degree preferred.Chartered Engineer status or working towards it is advantageous.Why RPS for you?
