Sheehy Motor Group is currently welcoming applications for the role of Parts Delivery Driver /Trainee Parts Advisor working primarily out of our Dealership in Carlow and covering the Waterford area. You will represent the company in a professional manner, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction at all times, as well as being a reliable team player with a flexible approach to working within a busy environment. The successful candidate will also be provided with training in all aspects of the parts process.This is a demanding position and the successful applicant must be able to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be process driven.Main duties and responsibilities :Complete on-time delivery of goods efficiently and accuratelyLoading and unloading of the Parts vanTo deliver from large pallets to individual boxes in a safe and timely fashionEnsure consistently high levels of customer satisfaction at all timesComplete necessary paperwork (signed delivery documentation, reports etc. as required)To carry out all tasks as requested in a competent and diligent mannerMaintain the security of the delivery van while in your custody, including personal effects and contents by locking the van when left unattended.Drive in a safe and considerate manner at all times.Work carefully to avoid accidental damage to the vehicle and components during work activitiesParticipate in ongoing training in order to build the knowledge and skills to become familiar with all aspects of the parts process and computer systemsWork as part of a large team to achieve company and departmental targets.Ensure the highest standards of housekeeping are achieved within the parts department.Communicate and build a rapport with other departments and stakeholdersMaintain and build the customer database through telephone calls and planned visits.Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:Motor industry knowledge is desirable but not essential.A high level of IT/Computer skills is required.Prior driving experience in a similar role.Demonstrate a proven ability to work to high standards.Be diligent, with a flexible approachHave the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.Be motivated and energeticPossess a strong desire to succeed in a targeted & competitive environmentCan clearly demonstrate a strong work ethic with excellent organisational skillsWarm and friendly personality portraying a professional and corporate image both in-person and over the phoneExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Key CompetenciesBe fluent in verbal and written English.Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPointKnowledge of ADP Kerridge would be a distinct advantageFull, clean driving licenceJob Type: Full-timePay: From €31,000.00 per yearBenefits:Bike to work schemeCompany eventsEmployee assistance programEmployee discountOn-site parkingSick payWellness programExperience:Automotive Industry : 1 year (preferred)delivery driver: 1 year (required)Licence/Certification:Full Driving Licence (required)Work authorisation:Ireland (required)Work Location: In person
