About You
As Chief Research Officer you will lead scientific innovation efforts and advance the core technology roadmap for the company. You will oversee all aspects of the research strategy and execution, reporting directly to the CEO. As CRO you will lead a team of scientists and engineers, support IP development, set up and manage research facilities, and drive high-impact research, contributing to breakthrough technologies, translating research into product innovations.
Key Responsibilities
* Shape and lead the scientific research strategy in line with business goals
* Build and manage a high-performing R&D team
* Oversee research in magnetics, nanotechnology, fluid dynamics, and their applications in spraying
* Establish and manage research labs in Ireland
* Work with other departments to turn research findings into products and IP
* Lead documentation, reporting, and external representation of scientific work
* Support patent development and protect innovation
* Maintain a fast-moving, entrepreneurial research environment
What Skills You Need
* PhD or Master’s in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field
* Strong understanding or hands-on experience in magnetics
* Proven experience leading scientific research and managing teams
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills
* Experience working in scaling or innovation-led environments
* Willingness to travel internationally
* Knowledge of magnetic water treatment
* Background in nanotechnology, nanobubbles or nanoparticles
* Familiarity with agricultural spraying or crop science
* Experience setting up or scaling research labs
* Track record of developing patentable innovations
