Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Civil Engineering Project Manager to oversee the execution of large-scale civil engineering projects in the Midlands region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of up to 25 personnel and specialist subcontractors.
* Project Management: Oversee daily activities, produce method statements and risk assessments, and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and legislation.
* Site Operations: Monitor works and ensure they are carried out according to design drawings and specifications.
* Team Leadership: Supervise civil engineering activities such as excavation, shuttering, steel-fixing, concrete works, pipe and culvert lifting and placing.
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records, site progress photographs, and management of subcontractors.
* Procurement Support: Assist with procurement of goods and services.
* Communication: Attend site meetings and liaise with local authorities and stakeholders.
A level 8 degree in Civil Engineering is required, along with at least three years' experience working on construction projects. Experience in river or flood defence works would be an advantage.
