OverviewCamphill Communities of Ireland (CCoI) supports people with physical/intellectual disabilities and autism. We are recruiting Programme Assistants to join our team in Dingle.
Key Responsibilities
Work as part of a committed team to support residents and day‑attendees in living an ordinary life.
Run programmes for adults with intellectual disability/autism.
Support individuals using the New Directions model of day support services.
Follow plans and methods to meet ongoing needs of the individuals supported.
Collaborate with team, maintain effective communication and documentation.
Qualifications
Hold a minimum of a QQI Level 5 Major Award on the QQI Framework or equivalent qualification in Community/Health or Social Care.
Have at least 1 year of experience working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
Understand current policy and developments at national and sectoral level in relation to Social Care within disability services.
Experience running programmes for adults with an intellectual disability/autism.
Understand the New Directions model of day support services, as developed by the HSE.
Ability to follow plans and methods to meet ongoing needs.
Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
Full driver’s licence and availability of own car.
Additional Requirements
All posts are subject to Garda Vetting, relevant Police clearance for any country of residence of over 6 months from the age of 18, and reference checking.
