Job Description
Our Client Is currently seeking three professional and reliable Bus Drivers to join our transport team.
The primary responsibilities include daily school runs and other scheduled passenger transport services.
The ideal candidates will have a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate a passenger bus on designated routes, primarily for school transportation (morning and afternoon runs).
Ensure the safety and well-being of children and other passengers at all times.
Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the bus.
Accurately operate and maintain tachograph records as required under EU and Irish law.
Adhere to driving time and rest period regulations in accordance with EU Regulation ********.
Liaise professionally with school staff, parents, and other stakeholders as needed.
Report incidents, delays, or vehicle issues promptly to the transport manager.
Category D and D1 driving licence (required for operation of buses under Irish law).
Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
Clean and current tacho card (digital tachograph card).
Fully completed and cleared Garda Vetting, as required for working with minors.
Fluent English and good communication skills.
Proven experience driving busses or coaches, preferably in a school or community setting.
Strong time management skills and a professional attitude.
Familiarity with the local area/route.
Experience with special needs transport.
Legal Compliance
All drivers must adhere strictly to the tachograph laws and driver working hours as per EU Regulation ******** and Irish Road Transport Act.
Daily/weekly driving limits, mandatory rest periods, and proper record-keeping will be strictly monitored.
