WORKING ENVIRONMENT & PROJECTS
You will join a high‑performing senior commercial team responsible for the financial and contractual management of major mission‑critical projects. The portfolio spans large‑scale hyperscale data centre developments and pharmaceutical facilities, with project values consistently exceeding €100M and, in several cases, running well beyond that benchmark.
These are fast‑paced, technically complex environments where commercial leadership has a direct impact on outcomes. You will work closely with operations, planning, engineering and pre‑construction colleagues, providing strategic commercial direction across every stage of delivery from procurement through to final account.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the commercial function across major data centre and pharmaceutical projects with values in excess of €100M, taking full ownership of commercial performance and financial outcomes
Provide strategic commercial leadership across procurement, contract administration, change management, cost reporting and final account negotiation
Manage, mentor and develop a team of Senior Quantity Surveyors and Quantity Surveyors, setting clear standards and supporting their long‑term progression
Maintain robust commercial governance across all project stages, ensuring accurate forecasting, margin protection and timely identification of risk and opportunity
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and key supply chain partners, acting as a trusted senior point of contact
Lead negotiation of sub‑contract packages, variations and final accounts on complex, high‑value scopes of work
Drive a culture of accountability, transparency and continuous improvement within the commercial team
Support pre‑construction colleagues with input on tender strategy, contractual risk and commercial structuring of new opportunities
Report directly to senior leadership on commercial performance, contributing to wider business strategy and decision‑making
WHAT YOU NEED
Proven track record in a senior commercial leadership role with a Tier 1 main contractor or specialist subcontractor delivering large‑scale, complex projects
Demonstrable experience commercially leading projects in excess of €100M, ideally within data centre, pharmaceutical or other mission‑critical environments
Strong technical knowledge of contract administration, procurement strategy, cost control and final account negotiation on major projects
Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline; chartership (MRICS) is highly desirable
Experience leading and developing high‑performing commercial teams, with strong people‑management and mentoring capability
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to operate confidently at senior client and board level
Willingness to travel periodically to support European project delivery as required
