EHS Specialist

This role involves implementing programs and developing facility-specific procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. As an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist, your key responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Implementing EHS management systems to maintain compliance, environmental protection, and safe operating conditions.
Tracking and regularly reporting the status of regulatory compliance and improvement initiatives.
Use structured processes to measure and communicate safety/environmental performance with both leading results and indicators.
Maintaining all relevant logs and governmental records.
Coordinating accident prevention programs.
Implementing education and training to support regulatory and business requirements.
Functioning as a resource and coach to facility safety teams.
Investigating releases, injuries, and near-misses.
Conducting periodic inspections of plant machinery, equipment, and working conditions to ensure conformance to appropriate safety and sanitary standards and regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years experience in EHS
* Demonstrated experience of sophisticated work assignment or educational project getting results on EHS work assignments with progressive complexity, depth and scope.
* Advanced professional EHS certification preferred but not required.
* Experience with behavioral-based safety initiatives preferred.
