Job Title: Engineering Operations Manager

About the Role
This highly visible and impactful position involves providing program leadership to drive tactical and strategic activities for operations on the New Product Development Core team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading an extended operations team comprising Supply Management, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Development, Packaging and Supply Chain to ensure on-time and on-budget performance throughout the new product development cycle.
Key responsibilities include championing the Voice of Operations (VOO) and driving planning and execution to ensure scope, schedule and budget alignment between operations and core team functions.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will track and manage operations KPIs such as Predictive LBM's, Predictive RTY's, Capacity Planning & BOM Readiness, demonstrating strong financial acumen with managing direct expense, capital, unit pricing & free cash flow.
The role also involves leading Design Transfer and Commercial Build Readiness to ensure quality system compliance and achieve production readiness and successful product launches.
Strong communication and influencing skills are essential for success in this position, which requires coaching and developing extended operations members to help individuals advance their skills and careers.
Furthermore, the successful candidate will integrate Design for Reliability & Manufacturability (DRM) during product development and ensure structured problem methods and predictive engineering principles are consistently applied.
Skillful negotiation is also required to create mutually beneficial results and negotiate trade-offs within the Operating Unit (OU) and Global Operations and supply chain (GO-SC).
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of experience as a Program Manager leading large-scale new product development programs, with at least 5 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Minimum Requirements:
o Bachelor's degree in engineering/science or a related discipline.
* Nice to Have:
o Advanced degree in engineering/science or a related discipline.
o DRM, DFSS or Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.
o Medical Device product development or operations experience with catheters, sheaths or other disposable medical devices.
o Program Management experience (PMP Certified), DRM, DFSS or Six Sigma Black Belt Certified.
