Position: Artic Truck Driver
Reporting To: Driver Manager
Job Summary:
The Artic Truck Driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of artic trucks, ensuring the timely delivery and collection of goods across local and national routes.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliveries and Collections
· Deliveries and collection of palletised freight
· Safely operate artic trucks on assigned routes, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery and collection of goods.
· Plan and follow efficient routes, adjusting as needed to account for traffic, weather, and delivery schedules.
· Perform routine checks and maintenance on vehicles, promptly reporting any issues to ensure the trucks remain in good working condition.
Compliance
* Licence and Certification: Maintain a valid CE Driving Licence, CPC card, and Tachograph Driver Card, ensuring all are current and compliant with regulations.
* Regulatory Adherence: Strictly comply with all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during all operations.
* Documentation: Accurately complete all necessary paperwork, ensuring records related to deliveries and collections are up to date.
Customer Service
* Client Interaction: Maintain professional and courteous communication with clients, providing excellent customer service during all interactions.
* Issue Resolution: Address any delivery or collection issues promptly, striving to resolve them to the customer's satisfaction and reporting unresolved matters to the Driver Manager.
Other Duties
* Flexibility: Adapt to varying start and finish times based on delivery schedules, with the ability to accommodate last-minute changes as required by the business.
* Additional Tasks: Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by management, within or outside the department.

Experience:
* Proven experience as an Artic Truck Driver.
Knowledge:
* In-depth knowledge of driving regulations, particularly those related to commercial vehicles and freight.
* Excellent route knowledge of Dublin and surrounding areas.
Education:
* Licence: Valid CE Driving Licence is required.
* CPC and Tacho Card: Up-to-date CPC and Tachograph Driver Card are mandatory.
