The role
Purchasing Specialist – FMCG Manufacturing site - Dublin
An excellent opportunity has opened on the Supply Chain Team for this Food Manufacturing operation for an experienced Purchasing Specialist. The company are a very well-known operation in the food manufacturing world, who provide an excellent environment to learn and grow within the business.
Responsibilities
Drive the purchasing process for a variety of food ingredients and packaging.
Raise and manage the purchase orders for the raw materials and ingredients coming into the business.
Monitor in‑house stock levels to ensure a consistent supply of relevant products and ingredients are available for production to continue.
Work with the forecasting/planning team to keep ahead of future planning.
Monitor and analyse the orders and delivery schedules to ensure the correct level of stock is maintained.
Identify any issues that may arise within this process to avoid future issues.
Requirements
Any relevant qualification in the area of Purchasing or Supply Chain is an advantage.
At least 2 years relevant experience in a similar role is essential, and preferably with a food manufacturing operation.
