Implement and maintain the Health and Safety Management System across the facility, ensuring compliance with Irish and EU legislation.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate H&S activities and audits to maintain compliance with company and legislative requirements.
Collaborate with management to set H&S objectives, review policies, and recommend improvements.
Oversee risk assessments, accident investigations, and implement prevention programs.
Design and coordinate H&S training programs and ensure staff awareness of safety practices.
Monitor H&S performance and report findings to management and the Safety Committee.
Support emergency response planning and conduct evacuation drills.
Work with HR to manage legal claims, insurance, and related documentation.
Advise on H&S compliance for new designs, line changes, and management of change processes.
Manage chemical safety, SOP development, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
NQF Level 7 Diploma/Degree in Health and Safety or related field.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a Health and Safety role.
Proven ability to drive change and develop H&S processes within a management structure.
Desirable: experience with ISO/OSHAs standards, environmental or sustainability management.
