Workshop Manager Role
We are currently recruiting for a senior-level workshop management position in our location. As a seasoned professional with a passion for vehicle maintenance and team leadership, you will be responsible for managing a team of commercial vehicle technicians.
Responsibilities:
* Lead a team of Commercial Vehicle Master Technicians, Technicians and Apprentices to ensure timely completion of jobs to manufacturer standards.
* Review and allocate jobs, discuss job requirements with the team to guarantee quality and efficiency.
* Liaise with the Service Team to manage daily planning of vehicles through the workshop, including reviewing and estimating jobs for customers.
* Provide ongoing review and support of Diagnostics in line with manufacturer standards.
* Ensure high health and safety standards are maintained through all aspects of the workshop.
* Stay up-to-date with all manufacturer's standards and training, being fully prepared for manufacturer and industry performance and compliance audits.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* At least 2 years' experience in a similar role in a Dealership / Manufacturer / Importer Commercial Vehicle Environment.
* Qualified HGV Tech with at least 5 years' experience working in a busy workshop.
* Working knowledge of the full process of throughput of Commercial Vehicles for service and repair through a workshop.
* Demonstrable experience of managing and supporting a team of technicians and apprentices as they progress through their career.
* Strong organisation and multitasking skills.
* Good knowledge of Kerridge/Keyloop.
* Fluent written and spoken English.
