Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to join our Electrical, Instrument, Control & Automation (EICA) Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining automation systems across various Water and Wastewater Treatment projects in Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage automation projects from initial brief to programming, installation, and commissioning.
* Commission project installations on site, prepare and deliver technical reports, and train personnel both on-site and in-house.
* Provide on-site support as required for planned and critical repairs, complete Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests.
* Design automation systems and network architectures, assist in the selection and evaluation of EICA equipment, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Required Skills:
* Degree-level qualification in Automation Engineering or equivalent experience.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Knowledge of the water and wastewater treatment industry, travel is required for this role.
* Experience with automation, instrumentation, and drive networks, e.g., Modbus serial, Profi Bus, Device NET, Ethernet/IP, Modbus/TCP.
* Proficiency with Schneider Automation, Rockwell, Omron, or Mitsubishi automation, and programming SCADA systems.
