Main purpose of the role:
Ensure the store's fresh food departments operate efficiently and effectively, providing customers with the best service and fresh food offering at all times.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
* 2 years' experience in a Fresh Food Department is desirable
* 1 year's experience in a Supervisor/Manager role is desirable
* An understanding of how to achieve KPIs and targets
* Passion for fresh food
Main duties:
* Actively embody Centra brand values: Proud, Energetic, Imaginative, and Community-Based
* Oversee and ensure the smooth running of the fresh departments by prioritising and delegating workload appropriately
* Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets related to gross profit margin, net margin, waste, and other KPIs as agreed with the Store Manager
* Control stocktaking and overheads according to the fresh budget
* Foster good working relationships among the team
* Hold regular fresh food meetings and communicate relevant details and results to the team
* Manage employee performance, providing regular feedback, recognition, and encouragement
* Handle customer queries efficiently, professionally, and in line with store policy
* Manage employee rostering and annual leave for the fresh departments
* Ensure the merchandising and presentation of the fresh department meet high standards and align with store planograms and guidelines
