Responsibilities
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects from tender stage through to final account. The role will include:
Managing project costs, budgets and commercial performance.
Preparing and reviewing tender documents, cost plans, valuations and final accounts.
Measuring and pricing works in accordance with drawings, specifications and contract documents.
Preparing monthly valuations, payment applications and cost reports.
Managing subcontractor procurement, including tender enquiries, comparisons and appointments.
Assessing subcontractor payments, variations, claims and final accounts.
Identifying, pricing and agreeing variations with clients and consultants.
Monitoring project progress against budget and reporting on commercial risks.
Liaising with clients, design teams, subcontractors and site teams.
Supporting contract administration and ensuring compliance with contract requirements.
Maintaining accurate records of costs, instructions, variations and project correspondence.
Assisting with value engineering and cost-saving opportunities.
Mentoring junior commercial staff where required.
Qualifications
Degree in Quatity Surveying
Experience in Residential and Commercial Developments
Experience in Technical Software
Excellent Organisation skills
