Howden Ireland is delighted to have a vacancy as an Employee Benefits Executive on a permanent basis to support the delivery of high-quality employee benefits administration across a broad range of corporate clients.
About the Role:
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Employee Benefits Executive to join our dynamic team in Ireland. Reporting to the Head of Employee Benefits, the successful candidate will be a motivated and detail-orientated individual who wants to be part of our dynamic workforce and strives to build successful relationships with colleagues across multiple departments in Ireland and the UK.
As a key member of the team, you will work closely with our Employee Benefits (EB) Consultants to provide administrative and client support across group risk, pensions, group private medical insurance (PMI), dental, and wider employee wellbeing services. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient processing and management of employee benefit schemes.
Overall purpose of the role
* Provide day-to-day administrative support to EB Consultants, ensuring smooth service delivery to both existing and prospective corporate clients.
* Process applications for new members and administer leavers across group pension, group risk, and group medical schemes.
* Issue pre-renewal documentation and process annual renewals for group pension and risk schemes.
* Maintain and manage individual workload effectively, ensuring timely delivery of tasks and high attention to detail.
* Build and sustain strong, professional relationships with colleagues, clients, and insurer partners.
* Keep abreast of developments and changes within the employee benefits sector, ensuring your knowledge remains current.
* Participate actively in personal development planning and take ownership of setting and meeting individual performance objectives.
* To keep their knowledge up to date by the use of e-learning, in-house courses, and studying for professional qualifications in order to gain the required CPD points.
* Generate reports, benefit statements and analysis summaries for client reviews and internal use.
* Contribute to projects and initiatives relating to digital transformation, client experience, or process automation within the department.
* Collaborate with consultants to support employee engagement initiatives such as webinars, benefit fairs, or onboarding sessions.
* Adhere to compliance as outlined in staff handbook and procedures manual.
About You:
* Minimum of 3 years’ group pensions and/or group risk experience in either a brokerage or life office setting.
* Knowledge of group PMI and dental plans would be an advantage.
* QFA qualified with a willingness to undertake additional professional qualifications in the future.
* Excellent IT skills, particularly MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Ability to work on own initiative, meet deadlines and work under pressure in a busy environment.
* Team player with a proactive approach to problem solving and workload ownership.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high service standards.
