The Transport Planner is responsible for ensuring the Catering Loading Team activities and tasks are scheduled in line with operational demand.
The Transport planner reports to the Service Delivery Manager, the role is primarily responsible for the rostering, scheduling and flight allocation.
The Catering Transport department is a 7-day 24-hour operation catering over 100 aircrafts per day.
Responsibilities The role is responsible for the planning and scheduling of loaders and supervisors to deliver products (food and retail) on time through effective scheduling and rostering including annual leave.
Future resource planning based on changes to the operations change ie schedule changes.
The role is key in the delivery of on-time performance through the optimal cost-effective use of manpower.
The role holder is also responsible for the planning and co-ordination of all airside training with responsibility for maintaining training records for loaders.
Support loading and off-loading activities when operationally required.
Identify and encourage all opportunities to develop the operation and improve efficiencies This list is not exhaustive, accountabilities may vary dependant on locality and may include any other duties considered reasonable by the line manager.
Requirments Suitable experience in a Supervisory / Management role Extensive airside experience in a planning role would be benefical Ability to schedule and roster large groups Working knowledge of driving regulations Working knowledge of fleet legislation Strong Analytical skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Self-motivated person with initiative and commitment to improve Authorised to work in Ireland Be able to go through garda vetting and a 5 year background check
