Job Purpose
Delivering quality projects that are on time and budget are critical to Secto's performance. The purpose of this role is to deliver projects within the telecoms industry, from an 'end to end' perspective – i.e. both the business and technical components. Projects must be delivered to specification in accordance with agreed company standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Working with the delivery organisation to identify, prioritise and initiate improvements to achieve specific business objectives.
* Identify and resolve with Build/ArcGIS Teams issues arising from Ribbon Handover
* Monitor 4 DA QC Asset Dashboards for daily (Defect) Quality Form Submissions and inform Build Team immediately of new submissions.
* Compile Asset Quantities and QC Asset dashboard figures into weekly quality slides PowerPoints.
* Setup weekly review meeting with DA Manager/FLM's to discuss and progress open Quality Defect issues in weekly quality slides.
* Present DA Weekly Quality Slides in Quality meeting with NBI and take away actions.
* Identify Quality Improvements each week creating a Problem Definition for each and submit to Quality Manager for review.
* Activity work on 3 ongoing improvements per week with minimum 2 next up improvements identified.
* Ongoing quality control checks on completed work to ensure customer specifications are being met.
* QC'ing/Analysing of Assets must be witnessed at start of work day until last half hour of each day to provide clarity on spread of QC resource over different Client/DA contracts.
* Business Priority every day is to QC all unanalyzed Assets/Blockage RFI's on all responsible Client DA's and Maps and then continue with other work thereafter.
* Submission of work hrs time logged against relevant Client/DA in Geopal must match times of QC edit record in ArcGIS/Survey123.
* Responsible for collecting, analysing, and summarising data, to reduce risk, and improve the probability of successfully delivering expected business results.
* Focus effort of improvement on order of Ribbon Handover schedule
* Weekly performance summary of QC per DA
* Weekly review of Active Improvements with Quality Manager
* Visiting customers and staff locally on site as required
* Minimum 1 Site visit required in 4 week cycle.
* Site visit plan to be discussed with Quality Manager and outcome reviewed after visit.
* Further onsite visits required for project improvement/data gathering, staff coaching approved with notice and reason provided to Quality Manager.
Requirements
* Minimum 3 years telecoms experience across design/construction/quality roles
* Customer centric
* Commitment to continuous improvement a must
* Knowledge of FTTx construction methodologies and specifications
* Financial awareness around the effects of every decision made daily.
* Working knowledge of GIS systems, ideally ArcGIS.
* Strong PC skills, particularly MS office suite. (Specifically, strong excel experience is a must)
* Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal.
* Strong team working ethos.
* Very good English language skills
* Presentable appearance.
* Previous people management experience.
