I am partnering with a growing international distribution business looking to hire a Senior Qualified Accountant for their finance team.This is a newly created role due to a recent company acquisition and will suit someone with 3 to 5 years’ PQE who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, commercially focused environment and wants to build out their experience in a scaling business.The role will involve strong exposure to month‑end, management reporting, budgeting, and multi‑currency accounting across a group environment. You’ll be involved in everything from balance sheet recs and FX revaluations to audit support and VAT across multiple jurisdictions.ResponsibilitiesCorporate Reporting and Month-EndSupport the preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting packsAssist with corporate and group reporting, including reconciliations, journals, and variance analysisPrepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliationsPost journals including accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and foreign exchange revaluationsSupport budgeting and forecasting processes, including analysis of budget versus actual performanceMonitor and analyse company margins, supporting management reporting, budgeting, and commercial decision‑makingStatutory Reporting and Audit SupportAssist with the preparation of Irish statutory financial statementsPrepare audit files and supporting schedulesRespond to auditor queries and assist during audit fieldworkWork within ERP systems, including Sage 200 and JD Edwards to maintain accurate financial recordsSupport intercompany accounting and reconciliationsAssist with distribution‑related accounting, including inventory and cost of salesMaintain strong financial controls and ensure data integrity across systemsSupport stock control activities, including monitoring stock levels and ensuring inventory records are accurate and aligned with business requirementsMulti‑Currency and VATAccount for multi‑currency transactions and month‑end FX revaluationsSupport VAT compliance across multiple jurisdictions, including Ireland, United Kingdom and EU VATAssist with VAT reconciliations and maintenance of supporting documentationQualifications & ExperienceFully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)Minimum of 3–5 years’ post‑qualification experienceUnderstanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and accounting fundamentalsExperience in a distribution, trading or FMCG businessExposure to multi‑entity or group environmentsExperience using ERP systems, particularly Sage 200 and/or JD EdwardsStrong attention to detail and high level of accuracyAbility to work to deadlines, particularly in a month‑end environmentWell organised with good time‑management skillsStrong Excel skills and ability to analyse financial dataProactive, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team
