Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 08:*****:00 or 09:*****:30 Excel Recruitment an exciting opportunity for a Senior Physiotherapist to join a friendly Outpatient MSK and Orthopaedic service in Monaghan.
Job Purpose: To provide high quality, patient centred Physiotherapy services to adults attending outpatient clinics with musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, fracture, and trauma-related conditions.
The role will involve advanced assessment, treatment planning, and rehabilitation delivery, while contributing to service development and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Clinical Duties and Responsibilities Deliver expert assessment and management of patients with complex MSK, orthopaedic, fracture, and post-trauma presentations in an outpatient setting.
Develop and implement evidence-based, individualised treatment programmes to support optimal patient outcomes.
Liaise with Orthopaedic consultants, GPs, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and rehabilitation plans.
Educate patients on self-management, exercise plans, injury prevention, and post-operative recovery.
Monitor patient progress and outcomes, adjusting interventions as required.
Provide support, supervision, and mentoring to junior staff and physiotherapy students as required.
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical records in line with HSE and CORU standards.
Actively participate in service audits, quality improvement initiatives, and CPD activities.
Essential Criteria: BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy (CORU registration is essential) Minimum of 3 years' post-graduate experience, ideally with a strong background in MSK, Orthopaedics, or Outpatient physiotherapy Proven clinical reasoning and rehabilitation planning skills in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to multidisciplinary teamwork Ability to work independently and manage a diverse outpatient caseload A flexible, proactive, and patient-centred approach to care What to Expect: Salary in line with HSE pay scales.
