Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), this role will be a key member of the Leadership Team. The position is supported by the Financial Controller and the Financial Team.ResponsibilitiesLead and oversee all financial, legal, and governance activities of the organization, ensuring sound financial management and controls are in place.Diversify and manage revenue streams to ensure long-term financial sustainability and independence.Provide strategic advice and direction to the Board, CEO, and Leadership Team.Lead the Operational Finance team with support from the Financial Controller.Provide regular, detailed reports to the CEO on finance, legal, and governance matters, aligned with policies and procedures.Collaborate closely with other Leadership Team members.Ensure compliance with financial management standards, controls, and regulations across the organization.Develop sustainable asset management strategies.Ensure compliance with regulatory and governance requirements.Oversee legal and governance queries as appropriate.Implement action plans within responsibility areas, aligning with Leadership where necessary.Manage key projects and programs as assigned by the CEO.Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the role.Qualifications and ExperienceQualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, CIPFA, or ACCA).Proven senior financial leadership experience with strong commercial acumen.Ability to ensure accurate financial reporting, including project and restricted funds.Advanced IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, accounting software, and CRM systems.Strong analytical and modeling skills, capable of reviewing and challenging financial assumptions.Experience working as part of an executive team with values-based leadership.Experience developing high-performing teams, with self-awareness of strengths and weaknesses.Excellent negotiation and communication skills, capable of conveying complex issues clearly and persuasively.Strong stakeholder management skills, both internal and external.Proactive, with the ability to prioritize and work accurately under pressure.Understanding of the strategic importance of finance functions within an organization.Ability to conceptualize, innovate, plan, and transfer knowledge and skills.Additional BenefitsSalary DOE.35-hour work week (core hours 9-5).Annual salary reviews.Mileage policy for applicable roles.Death in Service benefit after 6 months' probation.Annual leave: 24 days, increasing to 25 after 2 years.Sick pay scheme after probation.Bike to Work scheme.HSF partnership.Paid maternity and paternity leave after 18 months of service.Opportunities for further education.About Wallace Myers International Recruitment AgencyWe specialize in sourcing professionals for key industries and services.
