Job Title: Digital Engineering Coordinator
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative individual to join our team as a Digital Engineering Coordinator. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate model creation, coordination, data integration, and effective communication among project stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
1. Create and prepare 3D BIM models and deliverables with a high degree of accuracy that reflect the client's design intent, ensuring alignment with established standards and requirements.
2. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop and maintain BIM models that accurately represent project designs and data.
3. Coordinate busbar services within multidisciplinary BIM models to identify and resolve clashes, discrepancies, and potential conflicts in design and construction.
4. Manage BIM workflows and processes to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to established BIM standards and protocols.
5. Assist in the creation and maintenance of BIM content libraries, templates, and families for efficient model development.
6. Generate clash detection reports and work with project teams to facilitate issue resolution and coordination efforts.
7. Extract accurate quantities and data from BIM models for cost estimation, scheduling, and other project-related purposes.
8. Collaborate with BIM managers and project managers to ensure BIM deliverables align with project timelines and objectives.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you will need:
1. A qualification related to the post in Revit, 3D CAD, or an equivalent.
2. Proven experience (2+ years) in BIM coordination and working with BIM software tools.
3. Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, or similar tools.
4. Strong understanding of BIM principles, standards, and protocols.
5. Previous knowledge of busbar systems will be an advantage but not a requirement.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
8. Familiarity with construction and design processes.
9. Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
10. Experience with clash detection and resolution processes.
11. Knowledge of quantity extraction and data management from BIM models.
