Senior Electrical Design Engineer
This is a challenging and rewarding role for an experienced electrical design engineer.
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a senior electrical design engineer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and implementation of electrical building services installations on large-scale commercial projects.
Responsibilities:
* To design and implement electrical building services installations on large-scale commercial projects.
* To ensure that building services are coordinated within themselves, and with other building activities and installations.
* To obtain all necessary approvals (statutory, regulatory, client and company) prior to commencement of works.
* To ensure that specialist electrical sub-contractors work strictly in accordance with the safety management system.
* To assist in ensuring that the M&E contractors provide and adhere to a fully resourced programme that meets the requirements of the overall schedule.
* To monitor, coordinate and control the flow of Building Services design information to ensure the timely release of information for construction activities.
* To review design information and advise on any design shortfalls.
* To ensure that information released to subcontractors is in line with the specification/contract.
* To ensure that designs and details produced are economic and do not exceed budgets and comply with agreed quality expectations.
* To ensure that designs are validated on completion of the works.
* To plan, witness and record activities required as part of the agreed and approved testing and commissioning process.
Requirements:
* A level 8 degree in electrical engineering or energy systems.
* Minimum 6 years' experience in electrical services design roles.
* Previous experience on large-scale commercial and industrial building projects.
* Excellent communication, presentation and people management skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word & Project.
