Summary
Our client are seeking an experienced construction professional to take a leading role in the successful delivery of a large-scale residential development. This position offers the opportunity to manage site operations from mobilisation through to handover, driving programme, quality, safety and commercial performance while leading a high-performing site team. The role will suit a motivated individual with strong technical knowledge, commercial awareness and proven experience delivering complex projects to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage Health & Safety on site, promoting a proactive safety culture and ensuring full compliance.
Manage plant, equipment and site resources, ensuring certification and fitness for purpose.
Appoint and oversee key supervisory roles (e.g. Appointed Person, Crane Supervisor, Scaffold Inspector, TWC).
Communicate and implement the Project Execution Plan, ensuring alignment across all stakeholders.
Oversee subcontractor and supplier management, including programme monitoring, procurement, cost control and reporting.
Review design documentation and actively contribute to design team coordination.
Lead daily whiteboard meetings and manage short-term (2-week) lookahead programmes.
Monitor and report weekly progress against programme targets.
Ensure works comply with Building Regulations, design specifications and QA systems.
Drive quality standards, sequencing of works and effective trade coordination.
Liaise with service providers, local authorities and third-party stakeholders.
Chair site and construction meetings.
Manage and develop direct reports, including performance and absence management.
Promote continuous improvement and deliver a best-in-class stakeholder experience.
Candidate Profile
Degree qualified in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar.
10+ years' experience, ideally within large-scale residential construction.
Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and certification standards.
Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills.
Proven ability to deliver projects to demanding time, cost and quality targets.
