Occupational Therapist Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to provide direct, evidence-based occupational therapy services to children and families while contributing to an interdisciplinary, family-centred approach to care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Plan and manage a caseload, providing assessments and interventions in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
* Take a key role in setting and achieving goals with service users and their families.
* Maintain high-quality clinical records and documentation in line with professional standards.
* Contribute to overall service planning and development.
* Communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including families and other agencies.
* Participate in mandatory training and continuous professional development.
* Act as a mandated person under the Children First National Guidelines, upholding the highest standards of professional and ethical practice.
* Promote a safe and inclusive working environment, supporting risk management and HIQA standards.
Requirements:
* Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
* Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
* Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.
* Be eligible to work in the state.
* Valid driving licence for within the state / jurisdiction with access to own transfer in order to delivery services across a large geographical area.
* On appointment practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
* Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to Enable Ireland.

Additional Information:
* Postgraduate experience of working with children and families in a community based setting is desirable.
* Post graduate experience working in disability services for a minimum of 6 months is desirable.
* Broad knowledge of the Progressing Disability Services for children and young people programme is desirable.
* Experience of working on interdisciplinary teams is desirable.
