About the RoleWe are looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and client-focused Inbound FIT Travel Consultant to join our team. You will handle enquiries, design, quote, and operate personalised FIT itineraries for North American clients (primarily from the US and Canada) travelling to Ireland and the UK. Working with direct clients, travel agents, and advisors, you will create tailored journeys that highlight the best of our destinations—including scenic routes, cultural highlights, comfortable accommodations, guided tours, and authentic experiences.This is a dynamic, consultative role combining itinerary planning, supplier management, booking operations, and excellent communication to convert enquiries into confirmed bookings and deliver smooth, memorable travel.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the main contact for North American individual clients travel agents and tour operators, responding efficiently to inbound enquiries via email, phone, video calls, and CRM tools.Research, design, and quote custom FIT itineraries covering key areas in Ireland and Scotland / UK ( incorporating suitable accommodations, transport, activities, and special interests (e.g., heritage, nature, food & drink, genealogy).Negotiate and secure competitive rates and availability with suppliers (hotels, transport providers, guides, attractions, activity operators) to offer good value and reliable arrangements.Manage the full booking process: from proposal and costing to confirmation, amendments, preparation of detailed itineraries/vouchers/contact sheets, payments, and post-travel follow-up.Meet personal and team targets for enquiry response times, conversion rates, booking volume, and average itinerary value through effective upselling of suitable add-ons and packages.Deliver high levels of client and agent satisfaction through clear communication, proactive support, and quick resolution of any issues or changes.Keep up-to-date with destination developments, seasonal opportunities, and supplier offerings through fam trips, site visits, and industry resources.Support team processes, maintain accurate records in the CRM/reservation system, and contribute to improving templates and workflows.Essential Requirements & Qualifications3+ years' experience in inbound tourism, preferably as a FIT Consultant, Reservations Executive, or similar role within a DMC, tour operator, or receptive agency handling Ireland/UK travel.Solid knowledge of Ireland and the United Kingdom as travel destinations, including main attractions, routes, accommodations, and transport options.Experience working with North American clients or travel trade (US/Canada agents/advisors) is highly desirable.Strong supplier liaison and negotiation skills to build and maintain productive relationships.Good sales and consultative approach; proven ability to turn enquiries into confirmed bookings.Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal—professional, clear, and responsive); additional languages (e.g., French, German, Spanish) are a plus for broader market support.Proficiency with travel booking/CRM systems (e.g., Tourplan, Traveltek, or equivalent); GDS knowledge is beneficial but not required.Ability to multitask, prioritise during busy periods, and pay close attention to detail.Right to work in Ireland or the UK (EU/UK citizen, settled status, or valid work permit).Willingness to participate in occasional familiarisation trips and supplier visits.Desirable AttributesGenuine passion for travel to Ireland and the UK, with personal experience exploring the destinations.Understanding of North American travel patterns, seasonal demand, and advisor/client expectations.Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong organisational skills.What We OfferCompetitive base salary + performance-based bonus/commission.Opportunities for growth in a dynamic inbound tourism company.Benefits packageHybrid or remote working options with team collaboration.Fam trips, supplier events, and ongoing training.Supportive team environment focused on quality travel experiences.Job Type: Full-timePay: €30,000.00-€40,000.00 per yearBenefits:Additional leaveFlexitimeFree or subsidised travelWork from homeWork Location: Hybrid remote in Malahide, Swords, CO.
