What You’ll Do
* Write Linux user‑space and kernel code to allow 32‑bit drivers to DMA 64‑bit virtual memory spaces using Intel and AMD IOMMU controllers.
* Work on the hardware/software boundary for chips and the kernel, programming networking chips to provide latency analysis and accurate counts of high‑frequency events.
* Implement communications protocols between routers and switches at layer 2 (LLDP, 802.1x, BFD, etc.) and layer 3 (BGP, OSPF, ISIS).
* Update forwarding state of the hardware using platform‑independent abstractions.
* Reconcile the Linux kernel routing model with the switch’s forwarding state.
* Implement a policy language used for filtering and manipulating routing data received and advertised to peers.
* Access ASIC registers over SPI, SMBus, PCIe, and I2C to implement high‑resolution timers and gather network congestion statistics.
* Develop configuration management services using Go and Python for YANG, OpenConfig, NETCONF, and RESTCONF over gRPC, SSH, and SSL, combined with tools such as Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Slack, and Trello.
* Develop routing protocol agents (BGP, OSPF, ISIS) in C/C++ within a Fedora Linux embedded environment, ensuring fault tolerance, concurrency, and high availability.
Qualifications
* Experience with C, C++, Java, Python, Go or related languages.
* Knowledge of Linux embedded systems, networking, algorithms, and software development.
