The Talbot Collection Wexford are currently recruiting for a part-time Reservationist/Receptionist to assist in the overall sales of the collection through penetration of the corporate and leisure marketplace.
To manage all aspects of the customer's stay from dealing with enquiry to departure in a professional and courteous manner and to assist the Area General Manager and Reservation Manager where required.

Role Specific Duties: To have total product knowledge of all the Hotel services and facilities.
To greet guests on arrival in a warm and welcoming manner; To handle guest check in procedure; To have complete product knowledge of the hotel services facilities and to communicate these to guests as required; To ensure that all charges are correctly posted to guest bills; To action all guest enquiries by phone or in person in a professional and friendly manner; To ensure that the guests needs and requirements are met; To ensure accounts are set up for functions or syndicates; To liaise with housekeeping with reference to the allocation of rooms; To ensure that all floats are maintained to the appropriate levels; To action all enquiries taken by telephone promptly and maintain a high standard of customer service whilst doing so.
To assist Reservations Manager in developing and maximising bedroom sales in the hotel.
To assist in the taking of bedroom (individual and group) enquiries and reservations.
To input reservations into the in-house front office system.
To confirm in writing to clients the details of their reservations with hotel terms and conditions.
To guarantee all reservations to a credit card number of a company account with a completed credit application form.
To assist in compiling the yield-report.
To check if a company has credit with the hotel and if not to forward a credit application form to the company and refer the reply to accounts.
To ensure credit is not extended to companies that have not already gone through the accounts credit application process.
To actively promote the hotel though cold calling, customer relations, show- arounds etc.
To liaise with corporate clients, travel agents and tour operators and ensure excellent communication at all times.
To work in close conjunction with sales marketing, conference banqueting, reception and the front office manager.
To check all commission invoices.
To help maintain the bedroom reservations filing system, rate file and tour operator files.
To maximise room sales by overbooking/wait listing etc.
To ensure all guest needs are communicated to the reception team.
To maximise room revenue at peak times and offer best rates possible at low times and up-sell where possible.
To upsell the Company products and services where possible.
The successful candidate will have: 1 years' Hotel Reservations Experience; Friendly and professional work attitude; Fluent English essential - written and spoken; Must be available to work variable shifts; Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills; Experience in using Hotsoft would be a distinct advantage.
The role involves weekend work, so flexibility is required.
