Position Summary
A global organization is seeking an experienced
Senior Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager
to join its team on a 12-month contract. This role is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and improvement of EHS strategies, systems, and programs across multiple business functions and regions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in global EHS regulations, ESG leadership, and stakeholder engagement across Commercial, Clinical, and Operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
* Serve as the EHS business partner for Commercial & Clinical operations, international teams, and key geographic regions
* Act as ESG Lead for the business unit, driving sustainability and compliance initiatives
* Support integration and divestiture projects from an EHS perspective
* Develop and implement long-term EHS strategies aligned with organizational goals
Compliance & Risk Management
* Lead the development of a global EHS compliance audit program (internal and external)
* Oversee the implementation and improvement of EHS Management Information Systems
* Manage corrective actions resulting from audits and ensure regulatory compliance across all sites
Culture & Engagement
* Foster a proactive safety culture through behavioral safety programs and employee engagement
* Champion initiatives to support employee welfare and psychosocial health
* Lead training programs to ensure EHS awareness and regulatory readiness
Systems & Performance
* Own and maintain digital EHS platforms and reporting tools
* Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
* Use lean and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance EHS performance
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders across manufacturing, clinical, and commercial functions
* Liaise with external partners and vendors to ensure EHS standards are upheld
* Support emergency preparedness, response plans, and risk mitigation strategies
Qualifications
Education:
* Bachelor's degree in EHS, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or related field
* Equivalent practical experience may be considered
Experience:
* Minimum of 15 years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing, facilities, or laboratory environments
* Strong knowledge of global EHS regulations and ESG frameworks
* Proven track record of leading EHS teams and projects in a global organization
Skills:
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Proficiency in technical writing, negotiation, and training
* Familiarity with EHS software platforms and digital reporting tools
* Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities
