A critical role within the company to help deliver sales, margin and excellent customer service. Help and support customers with their requirements for hire equipment, responding to customer enquiries and processing orders in a professional manner. Preparation and chasing up of quotations together with providing relevant technical specifications of machines.

Key skills, duties and responsibilities.
1. Helping and supporting customers regarding all hire, sales and service enquiries.
2. Accurately processing orders and working directly with operational teams to allocate stock & co-ordinate transport to maximise service efficiency for customers.
3. Negotiating hire rates to ensure maximum margin return and preparing quotations.
4. Working as part of a team and being responsible to achieve sales, margin and customer service standards. This includes working with the external sales teams and proactively cross sharing of customer opportunities.
5. Effective planning skills to help adapt to change – in order to deal with conflicting demands.
6. Updating the CRM and related company platforms with information received and actions taken.
7. General administrative duties including resolution of queries and processing of payments.
8. Engage with continuous professional development through product, company and sales/customer training.
Salary Scale - €37,000 to €40,000. Performance Bonus. Full time role. Monday to Friday with every third Saturday supporting Trade and Hire Counter.
Qualifications & Experience
1. Several years previous experience of working within a high-volume sales and customer service role, ideally from a construction plant, powered access and small tools hire background.
2. Experience within a sales, customer service and technical support environment from construction, construction supplies, builders merchants, DIY, house and garden sector, and specialist sub-contractor sectors, are areas that will be considered a potential fit.
3. Knowledge of the construction and related industries, ideally knowledge of types of plant / machinery/ small tools / safety equipment.
4. Effective working knowledge and expertise in MS Office products, in particular Excel.
5. Leaving Certificate.
