Job Description We are seeking an experienced Mechanical QA Manager to join our team in Limerick.
Duties: Responsible for maintaining the Mechanical Quality Management System Take ownership for the quality delivery of projects, ensuring that all client specifications are met, by accurately developing and executing project quality plans ITP's.
Lead the quality ethos for projects, ensuring that Jones Engineering is the best it can be everyday everywhere.
Lead the quality ethos for projects through a "Right First Time" approach.
This will be conducted through delivering training, quality toolbox talks, developing and approving "First of a Kind" mock-ups, and auditing and QA initiatives.
Management of a Quality team including Field QA, Test Pack Engineers, NDT Specialists and Commissioning Handover Supervisors Management of the applicable Jones Engineering database for each project; ensuring it is kept up to date and accurate, which will essentially deliver the handover documentation to the client.
Review benchmarks and First of a Kind Installations.
Overseeing the development of system and equipment test packs using Project Quality Management Software on a project-by-project basis.
Liaise with the client on handover documentation, system handover and MC dates.
Liaise with the construction teams regarding handover dates, scheduling walk downs, developing snag lists etc.
Monitoring snag trends and addressing same through construction teams.
Review Installations for Compliance to Jones Project Specific Quality Plan ITPs, Project standards, specification, design, procedures expectations.
Manage 3rd party inspections NDT contractors to ensure project requirements are met.
Ensure QA requirements are met by subcontractors.
Oversee complete regular site quality audits.
Attend quality meetings with management and subcontractors and report on quality as required.
Liaise with other in-house specialist Mechanical QA/QC Leads as required Skills and Requirements Relevant mechanical/quality qualification Minimum 5+ years' experience in a similar role Knowledge of Hygienic Piping Installation essential, including ASME codes Knowledge of Pharmaceutical Piping Systems and associated P IDs essential Knowledge of orbital welding equipment and weld procedures Formal European Welding Inspection Qualification required, Minimum CSWIP 3.1 Further Quality Inspection qualifications would be advantageous, E.g., Paint Coatings Knowledge of Microsoft Office essential, plus use of large QA database systems such as Eida Experience working with Quality software would be advantageous.
