This role sits within a large-scale digital transformation programme involving multiple integrated platforms, mobile technology, and real-time data capture. A dedicated Test Team has been established to assure the quality, reliability, and performance of these systems.
As Intermediate Test Manager, you will play a key role in leading the testing function across a complex multi-system environment.
A snapshot of your key responsibilities as an Intermediate Test Manager would be:
* Define and own the test strategy for a large, complex, multi-system programme
* Lead and coordinate test teams across multiple workstreams, ensuring consistent and high-quality delivery
* Establish test governance, KPIs, quality gates, and executive-level reporting
* Drive adoption of test automation, CI/CD integration, and modern testing tools
* Identify quality risks early and implement effective mitigation strategies
* Partner with engineering, product, architecture, and business teams to align on quality outcomes
* Champion continuous improvement, lean testing practices, and shift-left / shift-right approaches
* Oversee test planning, execution, defect management, and release readiness
* Coach and mentor testers, supporting capability development across the organisation
* Communicate quality insights clearly and influence senior stakeholders
Requirements:
* Significant experience developing test strategies for large-scale, complex digital programmes
* Proven experience leading test teams across concurrent projects
* Strong background in test governance, quality assurance, and reporting
* Experience driving automation and CI/CD practices within test functions
* Demonstrated ability in risk-based testing and proactive quality management
* Experience testing integrated systems across web, mobile, and enterprise platforms
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
Desirable:
* Experience working with CRM platforms
* Experience testing mobile applications and real-time integrations
* Exposure to large enterprise or public sector programmes
* Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments
