The role
Section Manager / Finishing Foreman | Landmark Industrial Development | Kildare
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Section Manager or Finishing Foreman to join the delivery team on one of Ireland's most significant construction projects.
This is a long-term role on a large-scale, technically complex development where quality, programme delivery and attention to detail are paramount. The successful candidate will take ownership of finishing works within a key project area and play a vital role in driving projects through to successful completion.
The Opportunity
Working alongside senior site management, you will be responsible for coordinating finishing trades, managing subcontractors, maintaining programme targets and ensuring the highest standards of quality are achieved throughout the final stages of construction.
This role would suit a Finishing Foreman looking to step up or an experienced Section Manager seeking a high-profile project with a strong pipeline of future work.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate all finishing activities within a designated project area
Drive programme delivery and ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards
Supervise subcontractors and direct labour on site
Conduct quality inspections and manage snagging and close-out activities
Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements
Coordinate with design teams, project management and commercial teams to resolve issues efficiently
Monitor labour, plant and materials to maximise productivity
Maintain accurate records and reporting on progress, quality and site activities
Champion health, safety and environmental best practice on site
What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a Section Manager, Finishing Foreman, Senior Foreman or similar leadership role
Strong background delivering large-scale construction projects
Experience managing finishing trades and coordinating multiple subcontractors
Excellent knowledge of quality control, snagging and handover processes
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Strong communication, planning and organisational skills
Trade background or construction-related qualification desirable
Main contractor experience highly advantageous
