Assistant Manager Job Description
The Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in VIP Tires Service's mission to deliver an exceptional customer experience and high-performance results. This individual will assist the Service Manager in leading the team, ensuring effective communication, teamwork, and operation in serving customers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Safety First: Ensures workplace safety is the top priority by following all safety policies, completing safety-related training, and reporting any unsafe conditions or actions to management.
2. Customer Focus: Serves customers by consulting with them, building relationships, and educating them about their vehicle's condition based on mileage and MPI vehicle inspection results.
3. Customer Engagement: Achieves better than average success in customer engagement as measured by VIP Sales & Execution (SAX) score.
4. Team Development: Helps the Service Manager develop a superior team by ensuring associates have completed required LMS training, vendor training, and ASE certifications.
5. Dispatch and Assignment: Controls dispatching and assignment of work orders to technicians using the first available technician guideline.
6. Facility Maintenance: Ensures satisfactory maintenance, appearance, and condition of facility and equipment to comply with security, safety, and environmental codes.
7. Procedural Compliance: Enforces strict compliance with the service Code of Ethics and all municipal, state, and federal regulations.
Performance Measurement:
The Assistant Manager supports the Service Manager to help the team achieve all targeted levels of performance through various daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
Requirements:

* A comprehensive understanding of automotive servicing and the industry.
Qualifications:
* Two years related experience in automotive service management.
* Completion of a two-year college or technical school program recommended.
* Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working Conditions:
The Assistant Manager will work in an indoor service department (approximately 800 to 2500 sq. ft.) with varying weather, climate, and temperature conditions, mechanical equipment, automotive and industrial cleaning chemicals, and noise levels that may reach 110 decibels.
