Audit & Risk Manager
We are seeking an experienced
Audit & Risk Manager
to join a large, multi-entity organisation operating in a regulated environment. Reporting to the Head of Governance, Risk & Compliance, this is a senior role with broad exposure across risk management, internal audit, insurance, governance and reporting.
This position would suit a commercially minded risk professional who enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders and driving continuous improvement.
The Role
Risk Management
* Own and evolve the organisation's operational risk framework, policies and processes
* Embed risk management into decision-making across the business
* Lead risk assessments, workshops, reporting and training
* Prepare risk reports for Senior Management, Board and Committees
* Support multiple entities under shared service arrangements
Internal Audit
* Manage the internal audit cycle end-to-end with an outsourced provider
* Track and follow up on audit findings and remediation plans
* Support business teams to ensure timely audit delivery
Insurance
* Manage broker relationships, renewals and claims
* Improve incident and claims reporting across the organisation
Reporting & Governance
* Lead production of the Annual Report in collaboration with Finance and Comms
* Support the introduction of sustainability / ESG reporting
* Ensure strong governance, internal controls and regulatory compliance
Continuous Improvement
* Drive process improvement, automation and reporting enhancements
* Support adoption of BI and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI)
Leadership
* Provide guidance and mentoring across the wider risk, audit and compliance function
About You
* Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CPA)
* Minimum 10 years post-qualification experience, including at least 4 years in a risk-focused role
* Strong understanding of operational risk, governance and controls
* Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
* Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
* Advanced Excel and strong reporting experience
* Interest in ESG reporting is a plus
