Senior Accountant CREGG are seeking an experienced and ambitious Senior Accountant to join our clients growing team based in Shannon, Clare. This is a full-time onsite position. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in financial reporting, cost analysis, and supporting business growth within a design and manufacturing services environment. Key Responsibilities: Own the month-end close process, including journals, reconciliations, and preparation of management reporting packs. Maintain and reconcile key financial areas including Fixed Assets, Prepayments, Accruals, Customer Deposits, and Net Wages. Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions. Oversee bank and credit card transactions, including monthly reconciliations. Prepare and manage weekly cashflow reports and forecasts. Manage revenue returns and correspondence, including VAT and PREM. Produce regular and ad hoc financial reports and performance metrics. Take a hands-on role in managing weekly and monthly cash flow. Develop cashflow plans and analyse performance against sales forecasts. Collaborate closely with the CEO on cash planning and sales forecasting. Ensure robust financial controls and processes are in place and maintained. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and system implementations, including ERP projects. Qualifications and Skills: Minimum Level 8 degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Professional accounting qualification required. Minimum of 5+ years experience in an accounting role, ideally within a design, engineering, or manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of financial and management accounting principles. Strong IT and systems skills, including experience with ERP implementations. Ability to work independently and proactively, as well as part of cross-functional teams.
