We are looking for a dependable and experienced professional to join our transport and waste collection team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in the transport or waste sector, hold a valid C licence and CPC card, and demonstrate strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Responsibilities:
Collect a variety of waste streams from customer sites across the designated route network.
Lead and support operatives during RCV (Refuse Collection Vehicle) runs, ensuring all work is carried out safely, professionally, and in line with good manual handling practices.
Ensure wheelie bins are emptied correctly and returned to appropriate positions as per company guidelines.
Complete daily route sheets and carry out vehicle safety inspections.
Adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure the safe and efficient operation of vehicles, including fuel efficiency standards.
Maintain assigned vehicles and equipment in a clean, safe, and roadworthy condition to protect drivers, passengers, road users, and the environment.
Complete all required paperwork and digital documentation each day, in line with company policy.
Fully comply with all health, safety, and welfare measures implemented by the company.
Interact professionally and respectfully with colleagues, customers, and the general public at all times.
Candidate Profile:
Minimum of 2 years' experience in the transport or waste industry.
Must hold all required licences, cards, and CPC certification.
Manual Handling and Safe Pass certification are advantageous.
Strong written and spoken English is essential.
Must be flexible and willing to work across different areas of the business as needed.
Must meet English language proficiency requirements and be eligible to work in Ireland.
Previous waste industry experience is a strong advantage.
