UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics is hiring a Full-Time Payment Application Specialist II to support the office in a hybrid role.
Medical experience and insurance payment posting experience preferred.
Rate and Title will be determined based on education and experience.
Purpose
Responsible for the posting and balancing of payment and adjustment transactions including electronic processes. Responsible for posting denials, patient and insurance refunds.
Responsibilities
Adhere to Human Resource policies and procedures.
Responsible for entering self-pay, insurance, and manual exception payments into the Epic billing system.
Perform batch audits.
Review manually posted payments and adjustments for accuracy.
Responsible for entering payments/non‑payment denials into the Epic billing system.
Responsible for meeting departmental goals on a daily basis.
Process third‑party reimbursements with guidelines set forth in the department. Initiate the refund process to ensure timely return of misdirected revenue.
Provide back up support for other staff members who perform various departmental functions.
Process reimbursements to multiple billing systems and automated systems as required.
