Job Title: Property Underwriting Lead Location: Dublin City Working Model: Hybrid (3 days in office following training) Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Property Underwriting Lead to join our client's Dublin-based commercial insurance team. This is a key leadership role within the property function and will be the point of contact within the business for Property enquires when the Head of Underwriting is away. The successful candidate will play a critical role in leading broker relationships, underwriting complex property risks, and representing the team at a senior level. Your Role: Lead underwriting activities across complex property risks in the Irish market, ensuring underwriting integrity and alignment with internal guidelines. Act as a primary point of contact for brokers and internal stakeholders on property underwriting matters. Proactively drive new business opportunities through broker engagement and market knowledge. Maintain and grow strong relationships with key broker partners across the market, including both tier-one and mid-sized brokers. Contribute to underwriting strategy, pricing, and portfolio management. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior underwriters. Represent the business externally, promoting the brand and maintaining a strong market presence. Your Skills: Extensive property underwriting experience with a strong presence and network in the Irish commercial insurance market. Proven track record in building and managing broker relationships. Ability to lead meetings and make sound underwriting decisions independently. Experience handling large, complex commercial property accounts. Familiarity with multinational underwriting practices and technical risk-based approaches. Professional qualification such as ACII (or equivalent) desirable. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Prior leadership experience or acting as a senior team point of contact advantageous.
