Maintenance Planner/Scheduler – Cork

Our biopharma client specializes in developing therapies for rare genetic diseases. The Technical Operations team ensures manufacturing processes meet regulatory standards and supports global drug supply.
Role Summary
The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler will manage planning and scheduling of all maintenance activities at the Shanbally site. This includes preventive, reactive, and calibration work, coordinating with technicians, engineers, and external vendors. The role requires advanced use of the CMMS system and maintaining accurate, audit-ready records.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and schedule all maintenance activities (reactive, preventive, calibrations).
* Lead daily/weekly planning meetings and prioritize work orders.
* Forecast maintenance workloads and coordinate across departments.
* Maintain CMMS data and backlog; ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Develop scopes of work, estimate resources, and verify parts availability.
* Plan and execute annual plant shutdowns.
* Investigate equipment failures and complete deviations, CAPAs, and change controls.
* Create and maintain standard job plans and department procedures.
* Track and report maintenance metrics; drive continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with Stores and Purchasing for parts procurement.
* Train new CMMS users and support audit readiness.
* Participate in safety initiatives and maintain regulatory standards.
Requirements
* Strong CMMS experience and ideally prior maintenance planning/scheduling experience.
* 5+ years in maintenance or equivalent technical education with experience.
* Background in GMP within biopharma or similar industry.
* Ability to plan electrical/mechanical repairs and troubleshoot issues.
* Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
* Strong sense of urgency and safety awareness.
