Garden Centre Supervisor/Horticulturist
Job Description
The opportunity has arisen to join the team at Avoca Mount Usher Garden Centre. This is a permanent, full-time position available for an immediate start.
Responsibilities
1. Assist customers with enquiries and provide horticultural advice on gardening purchases.
2. Handle cash transactions efficiently.
3. Perform daily and weekly garden care tasks, including watering and repotting.
4. Maintain plants and garden supplies.
5. Deliver excellent customer service.
6. This role involves manual handling; training will be provided.
7. Manage garden supplies through internal ordering and assist with deliveries.
8. Work on weekends as required.
Key Requirements
1. Excellent timekeeping and attendance.
2. Good communication skills with regular updates to your line manager.
3. Flexibility to adapt to roster changes and cover short-staffed days.
4. Maintain high standards of quality consistent with Avoca's reputation.
