Accounts Assistant Role Summary
As an experienced accounts assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the Finance Manager and contributing to the growth of our organization. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your accounting skills and expertise in financial analysis to drive business success.
Main Responsibilities:
* Record all bank transactions and perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
* Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly financial reports to stakeholders, providing timely and actionable insights into our financial performance.
* Process purchase and sales invoices, manage intercompany invoicing, and reconcile debtor and creditor balances to maintain efficient cash flow management.
* Prepare quarterly management accounts, including supporting analysis and commentary, and resolve any related queries to provide clarity on our financial position.
* Provide monthly variance analysis against actuals to identify trends and areas for improvement.
* Contribute to the preparation of annual financial statements and assist with external audits as required to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Prepare and submit VAT and PAYE returns in compliance with regulatory deadlines to minimize penalties and maximize tax efficiency.
Requirements:
* 3+ years of experience in accounting roles, with a strong understanding of financial analysis and reporting.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior leadership and stakeholders.
