Project Worker,Stanhope Green LTA, Dublin

Contract: Full time,Permanent Contract
The purpose of this role is to provide on-site support to individuals and families in Long Term Supported Housing.
What You Will Do
* To work as a member of the Stanhope Green Support Team to support all residents of the Stanhope Green Service.
* Manage an allocated caseload and adhere to care and case management processes and protocols.
* To support clients using a Trauma Informed approach.
* To respond to and report child protection concerns in line with Children First guidelines.
* To work in partnership with relevant external services and stakeholders.
* To assess needs in collaboration with the tenant and develop support plans using a strengths based approach.
* To provide support for each tenant through individual support sessions.
* To provide practical home support to tenants when required.
* To develop opportunities for tenants to be involved in the service, the wider organisation and Local Community.
* To support the tenant, in collaboration with the Property Management Team, to manage their tenancy including paying rent, reporting maintenance issues etc.
* To support tenants to ensure that their accommodation is maintained to a reasonable standard.
* To participate in the review, evaluation and development of the programme.
* To maintain records in accordance with Focus Ireland policy.
* To participate in relevant training and development courses as necessary and participate in regular team meetings.
* To liaise and work effectively with the other divisions in Focus Ireland in relation to organisational procedures and policies in areas such as personnel, finance and administration, research, development, education, public awareness, and services.
* To be vigilant to any Health, Safety and Welfare risks in the workplace and bring any concerns to the attention of your line manager or Health & Safety Representative.
* To be familiar with and comply with all relevant Focus Ireland policies e.g. Standards of Customer Service, Housing Policy, Health & Safety Policy, Personnel Policy.
* Undertake other duties that might be reasonably assigned from time to time in consultation with the Service Manager.
What You Will Need
* A relevant Third Level qualification at degree level i.e. social care, social science, addiction studies etc.
* Minimum of 2 year’s direct work experience in a social care setting.
* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
* Experience of working with people who have experienced homelessness and an understanding of the issues affecting people who are homeless.
* Experience of completing needs assessments and creating support plans.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Willingness to develop professional skills as identified through supervision.
* Available to work a 7-day rota.
* Previous experience in a supported housing setting. (Desirable)
* The skills required to advocate on behalf of people. (Desirable)
* Knowledge around Trauma Informed Practice, child protection issues, mental health, and addiction. (Desirable)
* Ability to work in partnership with others.
* Good report writing skills.
* Good IT skills.
* Ability to deal with challenging behaviour.
