Job Title:Community Fundraising ManagerReports to:Head of Digital Fundraising & InnovationTerms:Permanent, Full time.Hybrid: 50% working from home, 50% office attendanceSalary:Global Band 6 (€57,683 - €64,092)Requirements:Occasional travel will be required, attending workshops/functions/gatherings/events, and where required be the passionate public-facing voice for Concern, presenting to raise the profile of Concern, generate support and much needed funding.About Concern:Established in 1968, Concern is a non-profit, non-governmental humanitarian organisation, dedicated to the reduction of suffering and the ultimate elimination of extreme poverty in the world's poorest countries.Role Purpose:This role will be responsible for driving, developing, and implementing Concern's Community Fundraising strategy. The post holder will play a key role in building and sustaining a vibrant community of fundraisers—both online and offline—who are inspired and empowered to raise income in support of Concern's mission to end extreme poverty, whatever it takes.Responsibilities:Development and Delivery of Community Fundraising StrategyLead on the research, planning, updating and implementation of a multi-year community fundraising strategy. This strategy will inspire existing supporters/fundraisers, and target and recruit new supporters/fundraisers to increase Concern's profile and raise income in the Republic of Ireland, both online and offline.Work to integrate our focus and activities and develop and deliver a fully aligned portfolio of fundraising events and marketing campaigns that recruit individual fundraisers and that will meet or exceed budget expectations.Plan and deliver new income streams through campaigns and community events, to maximise results.Monitor and evaluate community fundraising activity and impact, and identify potential for outreach and growth, particularly in the online fundraiser space. Develop an ambitious growth plan for each area identified and actively contribute to growth plans of other campaigns as a leader within our ROI fundraising team.Manage & monitor activity on as well as digital tools across a variety of third-party fundraising platforms, i.e. JustGiving, Facebook/Meta Ads, Raisely, iDonate, to drive fundraisers revenue.Work collaboratively with Communications, Supporter Marketing, Digital & Innovation, Corporate, Integrated Campaigns, Global Citizenship and other teams to maximise exposure, recruitment and impact of campaigns, sharing compelling stories across channels.Leadership, Internal Stakeholder Engagement & Team DevelopmentLead and develop a small team of the Community Fundraising Marketing Executive and the Collections Officer to deliver the Community Fundraising Strategy and achieve budget targets. Support direct reports in delivering to their KPIs.Contribute to integrated planning with wider fundraising, communications and global citizenship teams.Work with the communications team to share stories across our internal and external communication channels of supporter fundraising successes.All managers are responsible for upholding and promoting Concern's values, demonstrating leadership on workplace equality, diversity and inclusion, and role modelling a positive safeguarding ethos.All managers are required to actively participate in any emergency response as and when required.Engaging and Inspiring SupportersWork with the Community Fundraising team and support teams to ensure all individuals wishing to fundraise on behalf of Concern, receive excellent supporter care, ensuring a high level of stewardship to maximise engagement, satisfaction and income. In addition, create supporter journeys in collaboration with other fundraising teams using insight and data to drive improvements.Organise and coordinate regular volunteer-led collections at public and private sites to maximise collected income from the local community.Lead on the development and stewardship of relationships with community groups, associations, faith groups, schools and other networks, inspiring fundraising ideas and participation.Supplier ManagementManage, as needed, any outside agencies; i.e. digital, telemarketing, mailing, research, print and creative agencies, etc. to deliver plans effectively.Ensure that all activity is carried out in full compliance with Concern's financial administrative and governance policies and procedures and follow best practice in fundraising.Budget Management and ReportingProduce monthly and annual reports from the database and other reports as required.Work with your line manager to develop an annual income and expenditure budget and a 5-year income and expenditure rolling forecast for Community Fundraising.Oversee budgetary performance throughout the year, ensuring income and expenditure targets are met, promptly addressing any potential shortfalls and optimising growth areas.Undertake other project work as may be required from time to time and facilitate ad hoc special events and projects as they arise.Ensure accurate, timely data management, recording fundraising activity and supporter information on the database, and maintaining high data integrity standards.Role Holder Requirements:Essential:A people person who is interested in meeting people from many different walks of life and inspiring them to support Concern.At least 3 years charity fundraising experience.A proven track record of success in leading and managing a team of comparable size and complexity, to deliver campaigns/events that achieve high quality results to deadlines.Excellent understanding of charity fundraising, current market trends in the charity sector and applicable legislation, e.g. Charities Act, Guiding principles on Charitable Fundraising, GDPR.Proven record of identifying, establishing and retaining new supporters and fundraising groups/committees.Able to create and present budgets with clear rationale and accurately manage and report on department level finances.Experience in customer service and/or supporter care with strong interpersonal skills.Experience of using social media fundraising platforms & other digital platforms to drive revenue.Able to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the wider team and organisation strategyNatural problem solver with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasksFlexibility and willingness to expand the role as the job requires.The ability to manage change effectively & work on own initiative.Experience of working with external suppliers to deliver successful fundraiser campaigns.Excellent written skills including experience of writing and commenting on fundraising copy.Excellent organisation skills and experience of managing a varied workload and resources.Full drivers licence and willingness to travel within Ireland and where required overseas.Desirable:Degree or equivalent qualification (i.e. marketing qualification).Knowledge of and interest in development issues and a commitment to Concern's work with people in the developing world.Knowledge of data protection legislation.Experience of using a fundraising database for effective analysis of campaigns and trend giving patterns.Excellent negotiation skillsApply with your CV and cover letter on our website or use the link below.
