This role is central to the governance, coordination and continuous advancement of Murphy's digital delivery capability across Ireland and Europe.The position extends beyond traditional BIM coordination. It operates within a structured ISO 19650-aligned Digital Delivery framework, supporting projects from preconstruction and design coordination through construction validation and structured handover.The Senior BIM Manager will provide both departmental leadership and project-level digital oversight, ensuring models are compliant, coordinated, programme-aligned and commercially integrated. Working closely with the European Digital Delivery Lead, you will support the scaling, standardization and performance optimization of Murphy's Digital Delivery capability across complex, high-value and fast-paced environments.This role suits an experienced BIM professional who combines strong technical expertise with structured leadership and a forward-thinking, solutions-driven approach to digital delivery.Job SpecificationDepartment & Capability ManagementLead the BIM and Digital Modelling stream, ensuring consistent standards, governance and technical quality.Allocate digital resources efficiently across projects to support programme and commercial performance.Develop team capability through mentoring, training and structured feedback.Support recruitment, workforce planning and performance management.Oversee digital infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security and compliance.Project Oversight & Digital GovernanceProvide digital oversight for all live projects, supporting model setup, federation and coordination workflows.Lead BIM coordination meetings, clash detection sessions and digital progress reviews.Act as escalation point for digital risks and information management issues.Develop and manage BEPs, MIDPs and TIDPs in alignment with ISO 19650.Conduct model audits and QA checks to maintain certification standards.Track digital KPIs and report performance to project leadership.Ensure digital outputs align with programme, commercial needs and asset data requirements.Integrate digital workflows with planning, commercial, design and construction teams.Support digital governance across all RIBA stages.Client & Stakeholder EngagementServe as the main digital delivery contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.Lead digital reporting and communication with project teams and senior stakeholders.Manage relationships with specialist subcontractors and technology partners.Support business development and bid submissions with digital expertise.Innovation & Continuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities to improve coordination, validation and digital workflows.Evaluate emerging technologies and automation tools for use within Murphy.Contribute to technical strategy through the Digital Delivery Technical Committee.Pilot new tools on live projects and provide structured feedback.Support companywide adoption of approved technologies and best practices.Represent Murphy's digital capability through internal and external knowledge sharing.Role Requirements5+ years' experience in BIM/Digital Delivery on complex projects.Strong knowledge of ISO 19650 and CDE governance.Experience leading BEPs, MIDPs and TIDPs.Advanced skills in Revit, Navisworks Manage and Autodesk Construction Cloud.Proven ability to manage federated models and structured QA processes.Experience with point cloud workflows and digital validation tools.Strong coordination skills across programme, commercial and construction teams.Leadership experience within BIM or digital delivery.Relevant degree in Geomatics, Construction, Engineering, Architecture or similar.Full right to work in Ireland.Key AttributesStrong digital governance and ISO 19650 leadership.Clear communication with clients and multidisciplinary teams.High technical competence with a structured, solution-focused approach.Commercial and programme awareness in fast-paced environments.Collaborative mindset across project functions.Innovation-driven and proactive in adopting new technologies.Analytical, structured problem-solver.Committed to developing team capability and digital excellence.Murphy Geospatial HR PhilosophyOur people are a critical part of our success and represent the value of Murphy Geospatial through their actions and decisions every day.
