You will be primarily involved in the daily inspection of the quality of the work completed onsite. Alongside the site you will initiate continuous improvements to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget. This will ensure the customers expectations are met, whilst aligning the activities within the industry standards.
Responsibilities
Manage site engineers and support the Site Agent and supervisors with the day to day running of the site
Support the site agent to deliver exemplary health, safety, environmental and quality performance
Responsible for quality control, understanding of specifications, and DWI requirements
Provide engineering support to ensure technical problems are overcome and technical queries are answered
Take a proactive approach to resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise
Responsible for providing and maintaining setting out and dimensional control, to ensure accurate construction of the work
Qualifications
Educated to degree standard in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years experience delivering large-scale civil engineering or water infrastructure projects
Proven ability to plan works, manage engineering teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
Strong understanding of Irish building regulations, Irish Water standards, legislation and Health & Safety requirements
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
Full, clean driving licence
Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead, influence and collaborate at all levels
High level of attention to detail with strong organisational and planning skills
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and mentor junior engineers
